How Are You? “I’m Blessed”

“I’m blessed.”

That’s always my answer. I’m blessed. I’m living a wonderful life and it’s truly a blessing to be alive and be in the position that I am in.

Now, my coworkers especially, always anticipate that answer from me.

Anytime I go to answer with even “I’m excellent” or “I’m doing great” I’ll get a weird look in response. They go, “What, you aren’t blessed?”

Yes, I am.

It’s a core part of me now, I believe it so deeply after consistently responding in that fashion for over 2 years.

In his book “Awaken the Giant Within,” Tony Robbins explains the impact of using transformational vocabulary.

He writes, “When someone asks how you’re doing, instead of saying, ‘Okay” or “So-so,” knock their socks off by exclaiming, ‘I feel spectacular!’ As simplistic as this sounds, it creates a new pattern in your neurology — a new neural highway to pleasure.”

The first words in the morning

When you wake up in the morning and look at yourself in the mirror, what is the first message that you send to yourself?

Do you look in the mirror and say that you are excited for the day and you are blessed?

Or do you look in the mirror and think that you are exhausted, failing, and weak?

Which one is more powerful?

They’re both incredibly powerful. But one gives power and the other takes it away!

Which one calls on God and gives thanks to Him for the blessings that He wants to give to His people?

The first. Believing that you are excited for the day and blessed.

“Affirmations are quotes, and messages that remind you of the person you want to be, the behavior you want to adopt, and the life you want to live. By reading empowering affirmations every day, you prime your mind for success.” — John Cousins

Affirmations, positive thinking, whatever you want to call it… alone? There is NO power. Period and point blank.

There is no “innate power” but let me be 100% clear, I’ve seen time and time and time again how much more capable and powerful someone becomes simply because their mind is right.

If all you ever say about yourself is that you are tired and overworked? HA! You’ll become more tired and overworked… until you make a change.

I’d say that is the same thing as saying you’re hungry all day long and not eating once… how can you ever expect to change?!

The devil is real.

AND he has access to your mind.

Think about it for real here.

What power does he have? He can send us thoughts. But dwelling on those thoughts? Within the control of the individual.

Something like “I’m exhausted and too tired to work.” Where does that thought source from?

Is it God? Maybe. Then you better rest.

But if you’re just going to be lazy and lay around on Netflix all day, is that God? Ask Him.

Have you ever been to a doctor and they’ve said that the reason you are experiencing pain is because of your stress? Or because of your resentment? Or because of your anger?

Me neither — that’s why I go to chiropractors more frequently.

I’m not interested in putting a bandage on something that needs to be cured.

Negativity is a virus.

Studies show that someone who has a bad experience with a company will tell 7 people about it while someone with a positive experience may only tell 1 person. WOW.

I avoid negativity — but I’m always realistic. I don’t mask the truth and I NEVER undervalue the power of God.

Be honest with yourself for a moment here….

When’s the last time you were angry at somebody or something and how did that impact your life as a whole?

Did you even notice all of the ripple impacts? I doubt it.

So how are you?

Is your answer different than God’s answer for you?

If you asked God, what do you think He would say?

Maybe God would say that you are creative, energized, beautiful, magnificent, strong, a work of art, courageous, a light in a dark room, bright, and altogether lovely.

Why would you ever give a different answer than what your all-knowing Creator says about you?

“The one who has knowledge uses words with restraint, and whoever has understanding is even-tempered. Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent, and discerning if they hold their tongues.” — Proverbs 17:27–28 NIV

How are you now?

I’m blessed, highly favored, prepared, confident, ready, excited, energized, joyful, at peace, filled with contentment, a winner, and saved.

That’s me.

That’s what the Word of God has shared.

We are beautifully and wonderfully made! WOW.

Before we were formed in the woom, God knew us! WOW.

By grace through faith, we are saved! WOW.

You are blessed to be alive.
You are blessed to be able to read this.
You are strong to breathe another day of life.
You are at peace to know your name and to know how to read.
You are beautiful to spend time getting to the end of this.
